REMINDER FOR THE LAST CHAMBER GATHERING FOR THE YEAR & DECEMBER BULLETIN!!

Thank you to Patrick Lim for producing the Maroubra Chamber Bulletins this year.  Please open attachment for a copy of the full Bulletin.  It has been a great help and is much appreciated.  Like all successes great things can be achieved if we all lend a hand.

Our 2006 Executive committee has been very hands-on this year and I personally have appreciated the opportunity to work with such an active and committed team.  At the 2006 AGM I was not going to stand again as Secretary but when the Committee asked "How can we help you?" it made a huge difference to my decision.

Tradewinds is a restaurant located in the heart of Maroubra. It was established in 1984 as part of the Tradewinds Hotel which at the time was the tallest building in Maroubra.

The Hotel evolved into apartments four years ago in 2001, when the Ajaka family took over the establishment and committed themselves heart and soul into the running of this family business.

The restaurant is open 7 days and 7 nights and has a fabulous reputation for its stunning meals as well as service amongst its locals, Sydneysiders as well as tourists.

Joe Ajaka with the help of his wife Padma and their five children, oversee all aspects of the food preparation from the daily selection of fresh produce from Sydney’s markets to the preparation of all meals.

The Ajaka Family’s background is of Indian as well as Lebanese descent which contributes to its huge International menus comprising of delicious marinated lamb shish kebab skewers, lamb shanks, melt-in-your mouth steaks, authentic Thai curries, delicious risotto with black truffle and chicken breast, beautiful gourmet Mediterranean pizzas, amazing fresh home-made pastas as well as being famous for its scrumptious pancakes and home-made deserts such as the new double-baked chocolate soufflé or the classic crème caramel.

It is a fully licensed establishment with old-style charm, outdoor dining and is the perfect place for entertaining catering for every taste.

Boland Funerals was established in 1962 when Eric Boland changed the way people thought about a funeral service.

At the time, most funerals were conducted in private homes, but Sydney was becoming a city where people

required quality service and a funeral services provider with integrity.

Eric Boland and Royce Gregory understood the need to relieve grieving families of the details of preparing their homes

 for

the funeral and so many visitors. His funeral home would answer that need. On that premise, he founded what was then

known as a "Funeral Home and Chapel" in Newtown.

Over the years we have had the privilege of serving many Heads of State, Members of the arts and entertainment world,

and

families from all walks of life. We cater for all backgrounds, honouring the deceased and comforting their families.

Service styles have varied from the most formal funeral mass to services featuring a lovely musical recital. Each service

honours a unique individual who has lived life in his or her own style.

Eric Boland instilled in his staff an understanding of the value of courteous service and attention to detail, provided to all

families. This integrity remains our core principle.
